| Most of the reports on the farinosely sorediate Cladonia humilis (With.) J.R. Laundon from China and Japan refer to Cladonia kurokawae Ahti & S. Stenroos, a new species which is described; its scyphi are schizidiate and it contains atranorin and fumarprotocetraric acid. The true C. humilis is more rarely found in China and Japan; in Japan both the atranorin and the bourgeanic acid strains are present. |
